Pre Need of a Babysitter Times

Nesting started kicking in yesterday but it was Sunday so I just made a list and refrained from doing everything I wanted. I am grateful for Sunday being a day of rest and the peace I am able to feel because I keep that commandment.
So any ways I woke up this morning and got going on my list! It is now 3 o’clock and I am pretty happy with the progress I made! Sweeping gave me some intense pains but alas they were no labor pains. My midwife told me I should mop the old fashion way, on all fours, to help start labor but that really did not seem too appealing.
Lincoln and I had a wonderful weekend. It all started Thursday when we dressed up as a burglar and a bag of money for Halloween. It is funny I never dressed up all my years of being single but both Halloweens that we have been married I have dressed up.
Daphne and Fred....scooby where are you?

I guess I like having someone else to show up to the party with. So we first went to Chipotle because if you were wearing a costume then your burrito or bowl was only $3. We couldn’t pass that up! We got a couple compliments on our costumes and it was fun checking out everyone else’s! Then we went to our friends Halloween party! They had the best costumes I wish I had taken a picture with them! Jake, I mean Batman almost didn’t let us in because Lincoln was a burglar! It was fun seeing some friends we hadn’t seen in a while. I miss living in Tempe with all of them….maybe again someday!
Friday night Lincoln and I went to the Cheesecake Factory and a movie kinda as our final child free date night. So hard to believe we are going to have to worry about babysitters soon.
Saturday morning I went to a super Saturday put on for the woman of our church! I painted blocks and made a bracelet to wear to the temple. It was so fun and those in charge really did an excellent job with all the crafts and yummy food!
After Lincoln picked me up and we drove out to Scottsdale to watch some friends race in the ROC race. It is a race full of crazy fun obstacles! We were only there an hour but I got a little sunburned. Lincoln hid in my shadow as much as possible and wore a hat so he escaped the redness. I think someday when we have teenagers this would be a fun race to all enter and Lincoln agreed!
ROC race

The rest of the weekend included homework for Lincoln, only 1 hour of church (as opposed to the normal 3) a nice Sunday nap and dinner with the family!
I never thought I would be married for 20 whole months before a baby would join us but that is how it worked out and I am so grateful for the time Lincoln and I have had together just the two of us. I have been really trying to treasure up every moment. Life is definitely changing and it could be any day now! Oh I cannot wait to see his sweet little face!
We are all ready for ya Kempton, you may come now if you’d like ;)
                                                                        We are so blessed!

Week 35 oh my!

I know I have not been blogging much lately I think I am just waiting for baby to make his debut. In the process of waiting for our guy fun things have happened so I will give a little update. In August my sister called to tell us that in 3 weeks time she and her hubby were moving to Texas. They had to drive their two cars out there so I volunteered at 29 weeks preggo to join them on the drive. My amazing cousin moved up my shower so that Monica could be there for it. The shower was wonderful! The theme was dinosaurs and my cousin made the cutest well, everything!

I was so grateful to all the family and friends that came to support our little family. We received so many wonderful gifts and are truly grateful.

Texas was fun but too short. We made it a two day drive and then I spent two more days with John and Monica looking for a place to live. The weather was pretty nice in Dallas for those two days I was pleasantly surprised. Monica told me the day after I left it got hot again. I am glad I missed that. We tried some Tex Mex while I was there and of course some Texas BBQ a must in Texas I would say. We went to Rudy’s we were really impressed with the place and I knew once I got back Lincoln and I would have to try out the Rudy’s that had opened in Chandler. I needed to compare and I would have to say it was close but Texas did it better. Before I caught my flight back home we were able to attend the Dallas Temple. Texans are so nice everyone in the temple said hello to us and were so friendly. The temple is a small one while standing in the parking lot it almost feels like we were just at a church building but the inside is gorgeous as expected.

I am so glad I was able to join Monica and John on the beginning of their new adventure and look forward to visiting them in the future!

We went camping at the end of the month with some of Lincoln’s family it was so nice to get out of the heat and be in nature. We went just outside of Payson and it was gorgeous! In the middle of the night Lincoln needed a bathroom break and about 20 feet away from our tent was a giant elk. It was pretty cool to see it so close. They apparently had been in our campsite earlier that day and our niece and nephew got a fun show. Camping at 32 weeks pregnant was not too bad the worst part was trying to sit up on the air mattress and having to use the outhouse more than normal even if it was a clean one! We had a wonderful time with the family just relaxing eating delicious food.

Cinnamon Rolls baked inside an orange peel over a fire! YUM!!!!

I just love this picture the two cuties as the subject and the awesome, almost fake looking sky behind them.

In September, the fastest month ever, we were able to attend the temple a couple of times. I love temple dates with Lincoln, they really are the best and I hope we can squeeze a couple more in before the baby comes. Once he comes and I can leave him long enough to do a session the Gilbert temple will probably be open and we will not be going to the Mesa one anymore. That will be so weird but I cannot wait to see the inside of the new temple.

Last weekend I had another shower and I just felt so loved. I have such wonderful friends and I am so grateful for each one of them and cannot wait for the play dates we will be having in the near future!!! The food was tasty and the games were so fun. This shower everyone was asked to bring a little book instead of a card and I am so pleased with the babies growing library. I hope he will be reader like me and look forward to reading to him as soon as he is home :)

So here we are at 35 weeks and Lincoln and I just keep saying to each other "we're gonna have a baby soon!" We cannot believe it but are so ready and so excited. My pregnancy really has not been one to complain about. The worst part for me is how stinkin long it is! I mean really we have known since I was 4 weeks along and that was way back in March. I was doing my student teaching and anticipating graduation in two months. That was forever ago! I truly hope all my pregnancies are this great but I cannot wait to hold my little guy in my arms.

I feel like I was totally nesting around 30 weeks and I got a lot done then but need another dose of it soon. I have a couple projects to finish including a valance for his room and Christmas stocking! I hope to decorate for Christmas before his November arrival because I am sure I will not want to do it once he comes.

So that is where we are at for now! Once he comes I am sure I will be posting more because there will be a ton of pictures to share! Yay!!!
