Procrastination

I started this a week or so ago and had not posted it.....

Well I have a bunch of things I need to do today to get ready for our family reunion this weekend so I decided to blog. I haven't done a pregnancy update on here at all and I don't even know who reads this other than my immediate family who already know whats up but here we go. So I am 19 weeks and 2 days. Tonight we get to go to our first Family Circle meeting and I am very excited. We get to meet with the midwives for 2 hours in a group setting with other couple due in November and basically it is a birthing class. This class will happen at each of our appointments until the baby is born. Next Wednesday morning we will get to find out the sex of the baby and I cannot wait. I am glad we have a little vacation this weekend to help pass the time. I am so ready to know what we are having and to see the baby on the monitor!
I have been feeling pretty great. I have been feeling the baby move for quite sometime now but it is getting stronger as the days go by, it is such a fun thing to feel. The other day Lincoln said "Crazy that there is a baby in there" and I said " Crazy that the baby has to come out!"Another thing I said to Lincoln when we were kneeling to pray and I was groaning as I got to the floor was "What did you do to me?" and he responded with "only made your dreams come true" awww he is right this all I have ever wanted. We are so excited to become parents and cannot wait for that day when can hold that little one in our arms.

Pregnancy is wonderful

So today I had big plans to get my house clean for some guest we will be having on Friday but my body had other plans and instead I took two naps and watched Duck Dynasty and Bones all day long.
But tonight I as I was watching bones I was feeling lots of movement and kicks from Kempton and it was the coolest thing. I have been feeling him for a while now but it never ceases to amaze me every time. I know as I get bigger it will be uncomfortable but right now it is the sweetest thing. He is a stink and seems to sense my hand on my belly and kicks else where but I actually saw my belly move tonight.
I have been really fortunate during this pregnancy and have had very minor symptoms. I know I complain that November is too far away but I am really loving this stage and the anticipation it brings. Lincoln and I are just so excited to meet this little guy. We have his room set up with a crib, dresser/changing table and armoire. I love to go in there and look at the few little onsies we have already and the stuffed toys lining the top of the armoire (giraffes I collected when I was a teenager) oh and don't forget the cutest shoes ever.
Life is beautiful and being a vessel for a new life is amazing.
I am so blessed.

Pretty much the cutest pjs ever. I cannot wait for Christmas this year and the years to come!

Said shoes I was talking about!

Just saw this in my downloads....I may need to get that printed for Kemp's room!

Lincoln and I had a wonderful week last week celebrating our anniversary. Today was so hard because we just missed each other so much. We are so grateful that we could celebrate by going out on a date every day!
Monday we hit up the Phoenix Rock gym! We have a Pogo pass and wanted to use it. I am a little creeped out by all the orbs in the picture! Why are there so many ghost there???

Tuesday night we went to Native New Yorker we needed some wings! We have decided that honey hot is the best!!!

Wednesday night we stayed in and watched Wreck it Ralph! We also made some delicious cinnamon sugar popcorn!!!
He basically looked like this through the entire movie! Such a cutie!

Thursday morning Lincoln didn't have to go into work till later so we went for a run and stopped in at the Burrito Shack! The place may not look like much or may look like it is never open but Mmmmm, mmmm the burritos were so delish!

Friday morning I had a state exam I needed to take so late in the afternoon we headed to the zoo! It was warm so we sunscreened up but fortunately spent most of the time in the shade. It was a very relaxing stroll we took. So different without children!

Lincoln was so excited the Lions were so close! They were taking quite the cat nap!

Have you noticed our matching shirts! I bought them before the wedding last year. I love them because they say Lucky me, St. Patrick's Day 2012 which was our wedding day!
Saturday we decided to take some 1 year anniversary pictures. I love having a brother who takes great photos and can capture my ideas! We are a great team.

I have wanted a photo like this forever with the city lights and my dad made the tail lights happen for us driving round and round! The cacti were a bonus!

Because our anniversary was on Sunday we made a nice dinner at home. Chicken alfredo with fettuccine. It was delicious! And of course we ate by candle light!

For dessert! A skookie of course!!!

Now every February you'll be my Valentine, Valentine...

Our Church put on a Valentines dance for the adults a couple weeks ago. We had decided to go but the day of, we later discovered, neither of us wanted to go but we didn’t say anything to each other and just went. We are so glad we did it was the best date night. They decorated the church so beautifully! There was a false ceiling made with white and purple fabric and lights. The food table was beautiful and they had large cutouts of people dancing all around the room.
I have been to many dances in my life but going to one with you hubby is the best! It is so nice to have a dance partner and not have to worry about anyone else there. Also a dance full of adults who are not looking for love was just all about the dancing, who would have thought! It was the largest group of dancers I have ever seen at a dance. They even had a projector and everyone danced along with Just Dance (or one of those games) to Gangnam Style and Moves Like Jagger it was hilarious! There were a couple 60 year old women doing the moves, incredible!
I am so grateful I waited for Lincoln and never settled. He lets me know every day that I am the perfect woman for him and how beautiful I am. I really never imagined marriage to be as great as it is. We are coming up on a year and I can barely believe it. The card I got him for Valentine’s Day says,

Time passes so quickly that sometimes I can’t help but wonder how forever with you is ever going to be long enough for me.

When I read this I immediately teared up and knew this was the card for him. I am so blessed and thankful to have found such a wonderful man to spend forever with.

And oh yes they had a photographer! Isn't he so handsome!!!

2012 Was Amazing!

Lincoln and I cannot believe 2012 is over. As we reflect on the year we truly feel it was our best year ever and it is because we have each other. We are so excited for the new year to begin and to see what is to come. I start my student teaching on January 7th. I will be in a 4th grade classroom and I cannot wait to get to know them all. We moved into a new house which means a new ward. We have only been there once so far but look forward to getting more involved. Lincoln is going to be super busy this semester but I am so grateful for all his hard work. He is a great student and a hard worker, he amazes me every day. I am so lucky!
So here are some pictures looking back at the past year.

The family went on a cruise at the first of the year! It was wonderful but they all like to tease me about how sad I was missing Lincoln the entire time. The morning we docked I got up at 4am to call him before he went to work. I knew then I just never wanted to be apart from him.

I don't have a picture of me and Lincoln that night but here I am so happy after he had proposed!

In March we attended Saturday morning soccer games of these cuties!

oh in March and WE GOT MARRIED!!!!!!!!!!!!

I loved our gorgeous cake!

This day was truly the best day ever. We are so grateful for everyone who helped out and made it so great!
We then honeymooned in San Diego and had a wonderful time. On our drive over we ran into snow it was so cool! Who would have thought?
There was not much break for us in between weddings this year for much of our siblings.
My sister Monica married John in June in the beautiful Bountiful Temple.
At the luncheon.
In August Lincoln's sister Jeni was married to Tyler Phleps.

The  Burk/Alverson/Turley clan

Annie graciously celebrated her birthday at the reception.
In November Lincoln's brother Mark married Becka! The reception was in the Burk's front yard and it was as gorgeous as the bride.
And in December we made our way to Utah again for the sealing of my sister Jessica and Ty. It was the most perfect day with fresh snow covering the ground.

It may look like Lincoln is trying to warm me but really I was warming him :) Sometimes it works out that one is always warmer than the other.

Our Christmas wonderful we spent Christmas Eve with my family and Christmas day with his. Living closer to both families has been a real treat and we look forward to more time with everyone in the new year
We rang in the New Year with wonderful friends!
So I could have made this so much longer but I think 5 weddings sums it up well! The year was full of joy and we cannot wait to see what our future holds. Out of the 5 weddings we already have a baby on the way (see November wedding :) ) and I am sure they may be one or two more. Only time will tell!
We are so grateful to all of you who made this year for us! We hope that 2013 brings as much joy!
Love to all!

We are so blessed!
